Technique, tactics, and offshore atmosphere have not been missing during this 8th edition of the Grand Prix de l'Ecole Navale. The 10 Longtze Premier teams have put together several days of closely fought regattas. Spectacular images for spectators, intense racing for the crews.... Erwan Tabarly (Athema), accompanied by Gilles Favennec and Vincent Biames, take top winning positions, alongside Guillaume Florent in the close overall points score for the Longtze European Tour.
The tactical game was in full play during the Grand Prix de l’Ecole Navale 2009. The Longtze Premier fleet, always at a level playing field, has produced some engaging tactical and technical battles. “the game is decidedly very open in Longtze”, commented Arian Provost, helmswoman of Longtze Premier de l’Ecole Navale and 3rd of the Grand Prix. "Anyone can win in this class, but the smallest error is rewarded in a harsh way: it is an exceptional experience!"
