From the 27th to the 29th of June 2008, two Longtze Premiers will be on the start line for the China-Japan-Korea International Regatta, which takes place in the port city of Rizhao, in the Shandong province of China.
Two months before the Olympic Games, Rizhao, close to Qingdao, (venue for 2008 Olympic sailing competition) in the Shandong province, has organized for the first time, the China-Japan-Korea International Regatta. It is a competition which will bring together some forty boats from China, Korea, Japan and Russia.
Two Longtze Premier crews will be on the start line with a red as well as a white sportboat.
Longtze Premier 1 will be skippered by Florien DRTINA and his crew from Air Sea Transport.
Longtze Premier 2 will be skippered by Pierre Mas with his crew from Zou Intermarine
Air Sea Transport is the first firm in Qingdao to have started an internal company sailing team. After a year of collaboration with the team from LONGTZE YACHTS for the transport of its boats, Air Sea Transport decided to sail one of the LONGTZE Premier with its own sailing team.
Zou Inter Marine is partners alongside Longtze Yachts in constructing Longtze Premier sportboat hulls in Qingdao.
The participating 38 boats are classed into three categories.
Category 1 groups together the FT10 (Flying Tigers)
Category 2 groups together boats longer than 30 feet.
Category 3 groups together boats less than 30 feet.
Longtze Premier, which will race in Category 3, will sail with 11 other competitors.
